Luke 1:5-25 — First Sunday of Advent
Maybe you’re familiar with the primary beats of the Christmas story–Mary and Joseph, Bethlehem, the manger… that sort of thing. But when Luke set out to tell us this story, that’s not where he began. Instead, he started in Jerusalem, in the temple, with a man named Zechariah. What does this story tell us about the Christmas story?
